Did Someone Say Blueberry Festival Road Trip?

Florida blueberry season is coming to a close, but the rest of the country is just getting started. Gather your friends and family and start planning a fun road trip now to visit a blueberry festival in another city, county, or state!

State-by-State Blueberry Festival

Florida’s blueberry season generally starts in March and lasts into April or May. Traditionally, a blueberry festival was held in April to celebrate everyone’s favorite berry, but the 2018 festival was cancelled due to festival organizers needing to organize the festival at a new site. Many other Florida blueberry festivals helped fill in the gaps until 2019’s Florida Blueberry Festival, but we can understand if you are still hungry for more! Try one of these festivals within a day’s drive.

Georgia. Georgia’s festival in celebration of blueberries is slated for June 1st and 2nd in Alma, Georgia. The event will feature blueberry foods, crafts, entertainment, a Civil War reenactment and more. Get the details here.

North Carolina. North Carolina’s  festival is celebrating its 15th year on June 15th and 16th in Burgaw, North Carolina. The event features blueberries, a Whole Hog Cookoff, a car and truck show, a live band and more. Get more info here.

Alabama. Alabama’s blueberry festival is in it’s 36th year. It’s set for June 16th in Brewton, Alabama. Enjoy special festival blueberry ice cream, arts and crafts, a car show, live entertainment, a special blueberry cookbook, and blueberries and bushes for sale. Find the details here.

South Carolina. South Carolina doesn’t offer any state blueberry festivals, but there are a few around the state. Try the Blueberry Fest at Roper Mountain Science Center July 14th.
