Blueberry Mint Gin Cocktail
Blueberry Mint Gin Cocktails are for celebrating! Last week I graduated from my culinary school program and this simple drink kicked off the next season- summer and more time with my boy! While I will definitely miss my time in the kitchen and constant learning from amazing chefs and fellow students, I’m jumping right back into full-on motherhood and work from home.
Through the 8 week program Everett had more than a dozen babysitters, for which I’m forever grateful. I am also overwhelmingly exhausted from coordinating, making lunches and snacks, and leaving my boy. This next season together will be a good one – farmers markets, backyard berries, and summer swims. Plus plenty of summer-time drinks.
This blueberry gin cocktail is an easy one and perfectly in season this month. Make the blueberry simple syrup ahead of time and you can whip up a few drinks within minutes. I made this for our final babysitter, my sister, who spend a week here with Everett and her daughter. She had long days with the kids last week while I had long days preparing for our big graduation dinner. Drinks were enjoyed and well deserved. And we kicked off the summer season together!
Speaking of summer, it’s time to eat seasonal! Here is the round up of seasonal recipes on the web today. Lots of berries, lots of greens…. its a light and fresh time of year!
