Undergoing relatively little processing, our blueberry purees retain not just the deep rich colour and sweet juicy flavour of the fruit, but also much of the blueberry’s renowned nutritional goodness. This makes our purees ideal for food manufacturers seeking ingredients for smoothies, juices, bakery goods and healthy breakfast bars.

We can also provide organic blueberry puree and baby food products, carried as stock items.

How is blueberry puree made?

Blueberry puree is made firstly by applying a gentle heat treatment to the fruit, to break it down.

The berry mixture is then simply sieved for a smooth and luxurious final product.

FAQ

Is blueberry puree good for you?

Blueberries are low in calories and incredibly nutritious. In fact, they are believed to have one of the highest antioxidant levels of all fruits and vegetables, earning them a superfood status! They are also high in fibre, vitamin C and vitamin K.

Many fruit purees are full of added sugar, but Kiril Mischeff blueberry puree is unprocessed and naturally produced, making it the perfect healthy option for baby food, smoothies, juices and so much more.

Why buy Kiril Mischeff blueberry puree?

Not only is Kiril Mischeff blueberry puree available as an organic product, but it is made with freshly picked blueberries that are grown in Britain, just a few miles away from the Kiril Mischeff production line. This makes for a sweet, fruity puree that is thick and bursting with flavour.

This makes it great option for food and drink manufacturers looking to label their products of British provenance or as containing real fruit.

Despite all of this, it still manages to keep an affordable price tag!

What is Brix in blueberry puree?

Brix measures the sugar content of a puree or fruit juice. A product with 1° Brix has one gram of sugar per 100 grams, while 10° Brix means ten grams of sugar per 100 grams. Therefore, Brix can be used as an indication of sugar levels, and how sweet the product might taste.
